I'll stamp all over 'legitimate combatant' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be broadcast live on Netflix.

Briton Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the two fighters met personally to build hype for the upcoming bout.

Former two time unified heavyweight champion Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge disparity - at Miami arena on December 19th.

Boxer's Mindset

"I plan to break his face and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, stated.

"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.

"I will seriously aim to injure him. That's my goal."

Civil Interaction

In spite of such comments, a composed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically famous for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Paul instead attacked ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after the Cameroonian rejected a match opportunity.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, criticized British rival Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer said.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Opponent

Despite declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he stated.

Paul's History

Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.

He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in last year.

Financial Success

However, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's greatest commercial attractions, frequently receiving massive financial rewards.

Prediction and Belief

The 28-year-old anticipated a knockout win in rounds four or five and stated he would prevent the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly in the works for 2026.

"It's going to be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.

Size Difference

As Joshua and Paul met for the traditional confrontation, with their size difference evident, it highlighted just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is really proceeding.
